Service Technician

Come work behind the scenes with the most sought-after brands in the powersports industry. Ride North Recreation is looking for detail-oriented service technicians. You will work alongside our factory-trained technicians to perform all maintenance and repairs on products sold by our dealership. To maximize your success in this growing industry, you will attend service training to stay up-to-date on all upcoming product changes. Responsibilities

  • Must be able to perform all levels of maintenance and reports on Motorcycles, ATVs, Side by Sides and Snowmobiles.
  • Fully and properly conduct inspections on units before and after service is performed
  • Document all work performed on each unit
  • Keep up to date with factory training and certifications
  • Must have your own adequate tools necessary for the job
  • Need to be able to work with minimal supervision and direction
  • Operates in compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Use proper testing equipment and procedures to ensure repairs and maintenance were effective
  • Understand certain electronic systems in products sold by the dealership
  • Must be a team player and work well with others
  • Bring your 'A game' along with a positive attitude to work with you every single day

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of technician experience
  • Ownership of tools
  • Valid driver's license

Physical Factors/Working Conditions

  • Must be able to lift up to 100lbs
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to move large machines
  • Clean driving record
  • Previous powersports or automobile experience required

Customer Service Advisor

Ride North Recreation, Northern Maine's largest powersports dealership, is looking to expand our service staff so that we may continue to provide top notch customer service to our growing customer base. We are looking for a service advisor who is hard working, career-minded, self-starting individuals with a passion for the powersports community and all things powersports.

Individuals must be customer friendly, prompt, able to communicate well between staff and customers, able to multi-task and enjoy an energetic and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with products and services sold at the dealership in order to present features and benefits to the customer
  • Handle customer inquiries and transactions on the counter, phone and online
  • Have the ability and desire to sell the department's services.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate with a diverse client base.
  • Greet customers in a positive and professional manner and share their passion for powersports products
  • Strong written, verbal, and telephone skills.
  • Ability to keep current on manufacturers bulletins, recalls and documents and forwards to service department employees.
  • Continually updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Ability to meet deadlines and complete daily paperwork in a timely and efficient manner
  • Responsible for scheduling all service work
  • Creating estimates for repairs needed while working with retail customers, warranty companies and insurance companies
  • Act as the liaison between the technicians the customers
  • Keep customers updated and informed
  • Any other specific duties deemed necessary for the overall success of the department and dealership as a whole

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years experience in retail sales preferred
  • Previous dealership sales experience a plus
